Last Thursday, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) visited UNIK Galvanizing & Metal Products for first time at Sungai Bera Industrial Estate, Seria. Visitors comprised of five personnel from the Department.
The site visit was led by Managing Director Mr. Chen Chi Wing who brought the group around the galvanizing plant to show the process of galvanizing and the inspection standards that UNIK strictly adheres to.
UNIK follows the standard issued by the British Standards BS EN ISO 1461:2009 and the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM A123. UNIK also uses Special High Grade (SHG) zinc for the Hot Dip Galvanizing process where the purity level is at 99.995%.
