QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all costs aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects and ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

  • Examining and reviewing fabrication plans and preparing quantity requirements.

  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

  • Liaising with Fabrication Supervisor, site engineers’ clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Preparing reports, analysis, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

  • Examining relevant documents and drawings, budget, bill of quantities.

  • Selecting and/or sourcing construction materials, write reports.

  • Preparing drawings in AUTOCAD and able to interpret drawings.

  • Estimating and Assist in Tendering.

  • Checking of Project Progress Claims, Variations and Final Accounts.​

Qualifications:

  • Citizen or Permanent Resident of Brunei Darussalam.

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil Structural, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management).

  • Minimum 1 – 2 years experience in Quantity Surveying.

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
